- The purpose of this repeater is for communications in the surrounding area, and can be used freely. The following rules apply: 1. Must have a valid GMRS license/call sign. 2. Must be courteous and respectful and no bad language 3. Please let the repeater drop every so often (the TOT is set to 4min) For the system I am currently running +-30ft of RG58X running from the duplexer to the antenna, and for the antenna I have a homemade 3/4 wave GMRS Ground Plane. For the actual repeater I am running 2 Motorola MCS2000's in repeater mode putting out 50watts. Up grades coming soon! 73's KR4KWG - WRTQ857 unit bravo
